About Us

Belvele is a platform for independent designers who represent our brand's essence:

design, craftsmanship, sustainability.

This carefully curated online boutique features garments that are responsibly sourced, while maintaining a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. By supporting designers who use responsibly sourced materials and manufacturing processes, we help small businesses flourish,  and stop contributing to the demand of products that hurt the environment and put people’s lives at risk.

Belvele's founder, Monica Rojas, became fascinated with fashion at a young age. She has worked in the industry for 10 years in various roles, including management, merchandising, and buying.
She became passionate about sustainable fashion in 2013, when the Rana Plaza garment factory collapse opened her eyes to the devastating effects of the fashion industry. She made a choice to shop more consciously and even learned to sew for herself. The lack of transparency in the industry and the struggle of finding beautiful ethical fashion inspired her to put her business background to work.
"Fashion is extremely resource and labor-intensive. It is not cheap. It is not disposable. There is beauty in respecting the environment, paying a living wage, and supporting a craft. It's unfortunate that good fashion is so hard to find these days, but that's why we're here. We want to make it easy to find ethical fashion that you want to wear."
